My Background

Your courage and hope for growth have lead you to take a step towards therapy. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I would be honored to partner with you in your journey. Whatever season of life you find yourself in, life is inevitably challenging at times. During painful times, therapy is an opportunity to build skills, identify and communicate feelings, gain insight, and find support. While life's difficulties may leave you feeling helpless and vulnerable, you are in control of your response and what your next steps will be. I have dedicated my career to helping others take their next steps in healthy, goal-driven directions.

Becoming a therapist was an amazing experience and I learned so much about myself in the process. Similarly, since becoming a parent, I have been humbled and become even more conscientious of the challenges presented in parenthood. I feel honored to partner with clients to achieve their goals and I always appreciate how much I learn from the therapeutic process. I am committed to an empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to helping others thrive. Also, it is of utmost importance to me to take care of my own mental health well in order to support others. I aim to "practice what I preach" in relationships, work, and family life.

I have experience with children with severe emotional challenges, trauma, and behavioral problems. I have also worked with parents and families to better manage children's behavior and to promote health family functioning. My experience has included group therapy and leading meditation as well. I have worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and completed my Thesis with this population. I have provided many hours of therapy to individual adults, adolescents, and children. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and have been in private practice beginning in 2013 until 2016, and then recommencing in 2023 after being a stay-at-home mother for six years.
